WINEMAKER NOTES

No malo-lactic, no oak, no corky wine…sounds like a pretty good start to us! Our first Sauvignon Blanc is made entirely from our Betty Hill estate vineyard on the shores of the beautiful Clear Lake in Lake County, California.

The late spring and hot summer in Lake County create a perfect growing environment for Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The summer heat ripens the fruit quickly, which helps to retain the bright, crisp malic acid on the finish while showing beautiful, round fruit in the nose. The grapes were harvested at 22.5 brix.

The bright grapefruit up front is framed beautifully by round melon and fresh cut grass in the nose. The supple mouth feel gives way to wonderfully balanced acidity in the back of the palate.

The ultimate “porch wine”, we enjoy the NO Sauvignon Blanc by itself, but we won’t hold it against you if you have it with light appetizers, salads, and seafood entrees.

In order to provide the highest quality, we have chosen to seal this bottle with a “Screw Cap” instead of the traditional cork. This eliminates the potential of “corked” wine and many embarrassing moments!
